Heveder band
The band was formed in 2004 as the accompanying orchestra for the Háromszék Dance Ensemble. In 2008, the Hungarian Cultural Association of Transylvania (EMKE) awarded them the András Kacsó Prize. “Our greatest joy is when we can play music as we learned it from the great old masters, and people like it,” says bandleader Fazakas Levente. They are at home in the music of almost all regions of Transylvania. They are particularly authentic performers of folk music from Kalotaszeg, Szászcsávás, Mezőkölpény, Mezőség, Örkő (Roma music), and Gyimes.
Members:
Fazakas Levente – violin, vocals
Molnár Szabolcs – violin, vocals
Fazakas Albert – viola, cimbalom
Szilágyi László – viola, accordion
Bajna György – double bass, flute, gardon
